In the first quarter of 2022, the top five social networking apps in Latvia exhibited notable trends in downloads and revenue, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Telegram Messenger saw a significant rise in weekly downloads, starting from around 3.8K at the end of December 2021 and peaking at approximately 12K in mid-March. The app maintained a consistent increase, especially notable from late February to March, where downloads surged from 8.2K to 10.9K.

WhatsApp Messenger experienced fluctuating weekly downloads, beginning with 4.3K in late December 2021 and experiencing a dip to around 2.3K by the end of February. However, it rebounded in March, reaching a peak of 4.4K in the final week. Revenue for WhatsApp remained steady, hovering around $3 to $5 per week.

Facebook exhibited a stable download trend with minor fluctuations. Weekly downloads ranged from 2.1K to 2.8K, with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter. Revenue for Facebook was more variable, starting at $549 and peaking at $1K in early January before settling around $400 by the end of March.

Messenger had a consistent download performance, starting at 2.5K at the end of December and maintaining numbers around 2K to 2.5K throughout the quarter. Revenue showed spikes and dips, with a notable peak of $47 in early January, stabilizing around $20 to $40 in subsequent weeks.

Locket Widget, a newer entrant, showed a strong start with downloads peaking at 3.2K in early January. However, the app saw a decline, with weekly downloads dropping to approximately 341 by the end of March.
